KM-01 Byakuchi is a MAILeS that appears in the AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline: Frost Flower light novel, it is piloted by Kai Hojo.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
An AMAIM whose development history is vague and unknown, the Byakuchi was previously owned by the Federation of Great Eurasia (FGE), until it was stolen by the resistance organization from Hokkaido, known as "Kiwa no Kyokkou", it is speculated that this was an experimental machine, due to the hard points and technology present on this unit, which is not found on any other of the FGE's machines.
The Byakuchi at first wore a color scheme befitting the FGE, but after it was stolen, it was changed to a mainly white and blue decor, in order to better accommodate the AMAIM for a snowy environment, in which this unit would be put to use.
Armaments[]
60mm Portable Autocannon (Drum Magazine)[]
A heavy artillery weapon, thanks to its Drum-shaped magazine, and its 60mm combustible cartridge ammunition, it can penetrate almost any armor from vehicles and AMAIM from any force.
Four Tube Portable Guided Missile Launcher[]
Located on the Byakuchi's left shoulder, it could fire a total of four guided missiles, although this portable launcher increased the unit's weight, the Byakuchi could detach it to gain speed and mobility if needed to.
Versatile Portable Shield[]
A defensive shield which could be mounted on either one of the unit's arms.
Special Features[]
I-LeS Lou[]
An advanced AI installed on the Byakuchi, which could aid the pilot during combat, it takes the form of a female white weasel as its avatar.
